Her birthplace was in Santa Monica, California on 26 November 1986. She is the daughter of her dad Vincenzo and mom Valerie Barba. They moved with their family from Point Pleasant in New Jersey at the age of 6. As for her education she completed her studies at Red Bank Catholic High School in New Jersey. She then attended Catholic University and graduated with an undergraduate degree in architecture. In addition, she was playing the violin from when she was four years old and was referred to as Violin Girl. The performances of her were the reason for the use of her nickname. She also taught violin to neighborhood kids. At the age of 19 she was a contestant on the sixth season on American Idol and sang the 1976 single Free. The singer was subsequently eliminated the show after she finished the 16th spot. She's performed several songs like 'The Christmas Sing 2009' and 'Out for Blood'.
